Alcoford Corporation
About Alcoford

A circular cassava company, built in Togo.

Alcoford Corporation is a Togo-based climate-tech and circular agro-processing company turning locally grown cassava into renewable ethanol and value-added products while creating more value for farmers and reducing resource waste.

The company was registered and began its organizational journey in 2020. Commercial products first reached the market in 2023. These two milestones are distinct, and we keep them that way throughout this site.

Since then, Alcoford has grown from a single-output ethanol idea into an integrated circular value chain: cassava becomes bioethanol and industrial ethanol, while process by-products are recovered as food, feed, fertilizer and energy rather than discarded.

Our story

From an observed problem to an integrated process.

Alcoford's direction was shaped by what the founders observed in local communities: smallholder cassava farmers with limited market access, and a regional dependence on imported fuels and industrial inputs that cassava-based production could help address.

Strategic objectives, not vague aspirations.

Six directional commitments guide how Alcoford grows. Numeric targets are added only once approved internally.

  1. 01Expand local production of renewable ethanol and circular products.
  2. 02Increase reliable market access and value creation for cassava farmers.
  3. 03Recover more value from agricultural resources and minimize avoidable waste.
  4. 04Reduce dependence on imported energy and industrial inputs.
  5. 05Create safe, dignified local employment and technical capabilities.
  6. 06Replicate the model across suitable West African markets.
